Rosa Padded Baby Sling A frenzy of fluffy pink scrolls really looks dazzling against this chocolate brown background. Forget the everyday teddy bear and ABC prints - if you're looking for a modernly-cool baby sling that matches your ultra-hip style then mommy, you've found it!
This ultra chic sling is made from super soft stretch sateen baby sling and is available with or without optional leg padding. The optional padding can make the sling more comfortable for older babies. Just select padded or unpadded in the drop down box at checkout. Stretch Sateen: Sateen describes a kind of weave which makes a smoother finish than traditional weaves. It has more thread surface on the face of the cloth than other basic weaves giving a softer hand and more lustrous look. Think of very high thread count bed sheets with a touch of stretch. This is our thinnest and coolest fabric, ideal for summer but wearable year round. Why should you use a pouch Sling? There are many other types of carriers with bulky padding, ties, rings and buckles, and others that require elaborate wrapping...sometimes the simplest idea is the best! I have tried almost every kind of carrier there is, and I always come back to a simple stretch pouch sling. I have a 3+ year old daughter and I can still sling her in a pouch sling if I need to, and I can wear my infant son in the same size sling.
Pouch slings are: - the easiest and most versatile carrier to use, whether for a newborn or a 3+ year old.

Our sizing chart and information is a guide to help you find the size that will work best for both mommy and baby. Slingling Sizing The most important part to successful use of the Slingling baby sling is to first get the right size. Because there are so many factors that affect sizing please read through this entire page prior to ordering to help you find the size that will work best for you and your baby. Or email us and we can assist you in ordering the right size. Keep in mind that even with all of our guidance the "correct" size is what works for you and your baby. Most people can wear 2 different sizes. You most likely will be able to wear more than one size of sling, it is a matter of preference which one you will be more comfortable in. Some people like to wear their baby higher or tighter, other people like their baby lower or looser. A good fit is important to a comfortable pouch sling experience. In case you order the wrong size, you may exchange your new sling for 30 days. Please see the Exchanges page for our exchange policy, we are happy to extend the exchange period if you are pregnant or buying the sling as a gift. We are extremely flexible with exchanges. Does size really matter? YES! You really need to have the proper size. This is the most important feature for successful and comfortable use of the pouch sling. If you have a sling that is too big, your baby will not feel secure and will ride too low on your body. This is not only unsafe for your child, but may also lead to back and/or shoulder discomfort for the wearer. If the sling is too small, you won't even be able to get the baby in or will feel like you can't breathe properly. Keep in mind that the correct fit of the Slingling should feel snug with your baby inside and if you are new to sling wearing, you may even think that it is too small. Please use the information provided on this page to help you pick the correct size. We have created our chart over time and with fitting thousands of parents and have found it to be very accurate. However, each person is shaped different and has personal preferences that all cannot be accounted for. How do I know what size to order? Please follow our instructions below: *Using a soft measuring tape, measure from one shoulder to the OPPOSITE hip bone to help determine your size. Also, measure your upper chest circumference, above the largest part of your bust (under your armpits); Please do not use your bra size or measure over teh fulles part of your bust, this will give you an incorrect size. If you do not have a tape measurer, use a piece of string and a standard ruler (or metal tape measurer) to measure yourself. For men's sizing follow the same guidelines. * Use the chart below to determine your approximate size. * If you measure in 2 sizes use the additional information under the chart to help you decide which would be a better size for you and your baby. Remember getting the proper size is very important and can sometimes be difficult if you haven't worn a pouch sling before. Please email us with any size or fit questions, and use our size charts for assistance. Suggested Size Charts

There is no specific weight/age limit. Generally speaking, most children stop wanting to be carried in a sling by age 3 to 4 and 35 lbs. In most cases, your child will stop wanting to be carried before they outgrow the sling. I'm pregnant but want to buy a Slingling Baby Sling now. Our sizing charts offer information to help you measure for the right size during pregnancy. If you are pregnant or recently gave birth, it is a good idea to measure across your back from shoulder to opposite hip and compare this to your front measurement. If you are currently pregnant and trying out your new sling, you will may find that it feels too tight. This is normal and we HIGHLY recommend not exchanging your Slingling until after your baby is born (we can work with you on the 30 day return policy if you just contact us). However, please keep all original packaging and invoices handy in case you do need to exchange. Is my Slingling too big? With baby inside the sling and with the correct fit, the baby should be carried near your center of gravity. The curve of the sling should reach just below your naval when the baby is in it. If your baby is inside the sling and their body is riding below this or the slings slips off your shoulder the sling is too big. If you feel like your baby is not high enough or not secure enough against your body, then you may need to size down. First, make sure that you have the sling on properly before exchanging your Slingling. Especially with the sateen fabric, you will want to be sure that baby hits above your hip bones. As they grow, a snug fit will be even more necessary. Is my Slingling too small? First, always be sure to try the sling with the baby inside to determine if you have the correct fit. If you can get your baby in the sling (even if it is a little difficult at first) then you probably have the right size. It does take a little practice and getting used to, but the sling should fit snug. However, you should not feel uncomfortable or as if you can't breath because it is so snug. Try out the positioning and keep in mind that the fabric will "stretch out" a bit with wear. Please keep in mind that the baby will look kind of cramped in the cradle carry position-this is a good thing and is not an indicator that the sling it too small. What is the padding for? The padding is made to go under an older baby's (6 months and up) legs, in the bend behind the knees, in any of the legs out positions-- the hip carry, tummy to tummy, and back carry. What is the padding like? There are 2 sections of padding, approximately 10" long x 1.5" wide, on either side of the curved seam of the sling. This is where an older baby's legs will go in the hip carry. Can a padded sling be used from birth? Yes! Although the padding is there primarily for older babies, the padding does not interfere with the sling's use with a newborn. You will generally wear the padding on the outer rail when the baby's legs are inside the sling. The padding can be used as a place to grip when positioning the baby, it helps hold the pouch fabric open more to prevent draping across the baby's face, some babies like to chew on the padded rail, and the padding can help act as a pillow under a newborn's head who wants to see out, but who doesn't have good neck control yet. |
